Skylight Media's definition of SEO, is the process by which a website is given the best possible chance of being found and indexed by search engines for the purpose of being returned in search results for given, relevant key words. A site that is not ‘optimised’ for search engines is not able to fulfil a basic fundamental element, which is that all pages within the site are given the best possible chance of being found, accessed and indexed by the ‘robots’ that visit.

All websites built by Skylight Media are optimised for search engine access from the foundations up. It should be viewed that SEO is a journey, rather than a destination. This means that even though we will build the site from the foundations up, using up-to-date optimisation techniques, there will be the need for periodic ‘tweaks’ to page code, content, titles, tags, etc, in future, to keep up with the changes in search engines’ algorithms (search formulae). This is usually a nominal fee, as the main optimisation tasks would be carried out prior to launch.

If your site is being advertised (on or off-line), promoted in any way, or is trading through the Internet, website visitor statistics should be of essential interest to you. How else can you track where your investment is going?

We recommend Google Analytics which is free to use and just requires a one-off integration fee from us.

Website statistical software should be able to tell you a wealth of valuable information relating to what traffic has entered the site, from where, and what pages have been visited. Additionally it will tell you which days of the week are most productive, times of day, pages least visited, and a host of other useful data.
